WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING THIS WEEK

I woke up to the trailer of ‘Tiny Pretty Things’ and I found it interesting. However, there is time in its release so the next question was to find the available contents which could be my escape for the week. I explored Prime, returned to Netflix and went back to Prime to find contents worthy of my time. After a few minutes of hurling-twirling, I finally found some films and series for beating my monotony!

UTOPIA

The series revolves around a group of young adults stuck amidst a conspiracy unfolding across a viral pandemic and come across a cult underground graphic novel which further burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world. Utopia is currently streaming on Prime and I am already in the second episode. However, the show is still growing on me but I am hoping for the best.

THE WALKING DEAD:

WORLD BEYOND: The walking dead is about a group of teenagers sheltered from the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world who receive a message that inspires them to leave the safety of the only home they have ever known and set on a cross-country journey to save their father. The show appears extremely tedious as it begins but let’s see, if it holds anything in the journey ahead.

SPINNING OUT

The show spins out the mood by making us interested in the characters as they gradually graduate thus enabling us to delve deeper into their lives. Spinning Out is about a figure skating Olympic hopeful struggling to balance family, love and fragile mental health as her dream of winning takes a dizzying hold. The screenplay is well written along with to the point acting as it tells us the tale of professional skaters.

It came much early in 2020 but became successful in casting a spell on the audience wide across the world. The show brings an issue of concern to the prime focus of its viewers and highlights the effects of orthodox practices of Jewish community with utmost sensitivity packed up with the powerful performance of Shira Haas.
