Within days after Neha and Angad Bedi’s hush-hush wedding (in May 2018), rumors were rife that the reason why they quietly tied the knot was that Neha got pregnant. For several weeks, Angad and Neha denied such reports. Neha’s father, too denied the reports until the couple finally decided to break the news on August 24, 2018.

Talking about keeping it a secret, Neha blamed it on the mentality of how the industry works and explained, "I was worried people would stop offering work. It was a good thing my bump wasn’t showing till the sixth month because appearances matter here, and one might be assumed to be unfit for a job.
