Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi, died in Chennai on August 7.
The doctors at the Kauvery Hospital declared him dead at 6.10 pm on Tuesday. He had been struggling for his life for over 10 days due to age-related ailments. "Despite the best efforts by our team of doctors and nurses to resuscitate him, he failed to respond," a release from the hospital stated. Politicians as well as several film stars tweeted and condoled his demise. From Rajinikanth to Allu Arjun, many celebrities used Twitter as a medium to express their sadness.
