Fox just released the news that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is being cancelled after a solid run of five seasons. This has received a lot of backlash from the audience who are claiming
Fox's decision to be a mistake. Fox announced its decision to cancel Brooklyn Nine-Nine while informing that they will be cancelling two other comedies- “The Mick” and
“The Last Man on Earth. The show originally premiered on September 2013 and just completed its 100th episode milestone earlier this year. The show is set in the 99th precinct of the NYPD.
It stars a whole lot of actors, the main cast being Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller.
But one channel's mistake might just be another channel's fortune. A number of calls have started pouring in from different outlets such as Hulu and Netflix to try and bag the future of this show. Both the platforms have their own strengths and are giants when it comes to good shows. This is definitely a time for the fans of nine-nine to rejoice as it is possible that their favorite show might just continue! Though there is a little talk here and there that the studio will not let any other platform revive this series, but there has been no comment by the producers of the show, Universal Television. In a time where finding a good comedy show is hard, cancelling probably one of the best comedy shows ever made has to be a wrong decision. But there is certainly hope that this show will be revived somewhere or the other as it has been done in the past with quite a number of shows. And luckily, most of these revived shows go ahead to have a multiple season future!
