The trend of creating remakes has been quite common and frequent affair in Bollywood now. However, at times things really don’t go the way we expect and, in return faces a major backlash.

Recently, Tanishk Bagchi released the remake of famous AR Rahman’s classic song ‘Masakali’ from Delhi 6. The song features Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, within no time a lot of negative comments from the Netizens came on the social media and, now even the makers of the song are trolling the new version.

Makers of original ‘Masakali’ troll the remake version:

Legendary music composer, AR Rahman slammed the song on his twitter by writing “No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 265 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations.

A team of a director, a composer and a lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless dance crew,”. With this, he posted the link of the original song for fans to analyze the difference between both the tracks. His post clearly shows how upset he is with the remake.

Apart from AR Rahman, the writer of the original Masakali also got disappointed and wrote, “All songs written for #Delhi6 including #Masakali close to heart, sad to see when original creation of @arrahman @prasoonjoshi_ &singer @_MohitChauhan insensitively utilised.

Upto the conscience of @Tseries. Hopefully the fans will stand for originality. @RakeyshOmMehra.”
In response to Prasoon’s post, Director Rakeysh Omprakash wrote, “#Delhi6 the movie & it’s songs created with so much Luv & passion , let’s save the original creations for generations to come. #saynotoRemixes.”

The original Masakali was sung by Mohit Chauhan whereas; the remix has been crooned by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon. Seems like Tanishk’s much awaited song turned out be disappointing and, has severely affected the makers sentiments.
