Shahid Kapoor starts shooting for Jersey in Mohali

After grabbing positive appreciation and immense success from Kabir Singh now, actor Shahid Kapoor is all geared up to hit the screens with his upcoming sports drama, ‘Jersey’. It is the remake of a South Indian film with the same title.

Recently after taking break for New Year, the actor left for Punjab to kickstart the shooting for the movie. Taking to Instagram, the Shahid shared a glimpse of the cricket stadium where he is shooting for the film. He captioned the video as "Mohali prepping for Jersey...".

Shahid will first time be seen playing a strong sports personality on the silver screen. Earlier also many pictures of Shahid while training hard for this unique character in the film has gone viral on social media. He almost practiced for 2 months and then he gave a start to the Shooting.

As per reports, Jersey is set in and around Chandigarh during the mid-’90s and the makers will shoot the film at real locations, including a beautiful row house in the heart of the city which will be shown as Shahid’s house.

The shooting of 'Jersey' was started in Chandigarh from 2nd December last year. The film will also see Shahid collaborating with his father Pankaj Kapur once again while 'Super 30' actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing the main female lead. The film is helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who helmed the original south film which starred Nani in the lead role.
