Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’ faces legal trouble

Although the teaser of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming biopic on the iron lady Jayalalithaa has impressed everyone it seems like the makers of the film is in trouble now. Recently as per the reports, the directors and, producers of the movie ‘Thalaivi’ got a legal notice from the court by Jayalalithaa’s niece, Deepa.

The Madras High Court gave Deepa permission to file the civil suit against the makers because of their carelessness of not sharing about the film with her.

As per Deepa, she is the legal heir of the late politician and, thus the makers must have contacted her before starting the shooting or making a film or a web series on her Aunt’s life. She has also demanded the makers to submit a script to her before the biopic goes on the floors.

The notice has been sent to AL Vijay, producer Vishnu and also, Gautham Menon, who is planning to make a web series on the life of Jayalalithaa.

Meanwhile, the teaser of the film has got mixed reactions. Kangana’s transformation is just tremendous and, she has done the hard work for this strong character. Thalaivi is slated to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 26, 2020.
