After a commendable debut in Dhadak, Sridevi's elder daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, is all set to work in another Karan Johar movie 'Takht'. She will be working alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2020.
Janhvi shared the poster on Instagram and wrote, "So excited, blessed and honored to be a part of this journey." The social media sensation received a positive response from fans.
She also said, "I am still in shock. It hasn't sunk in yet. It's a big deal for me. I am eternally grateful and blessed that Karan has allowed me to be a part of the film.”
Karan Johar also shared a word about the plot of Takht. He wrote, "An incredible story embedded in history, an epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne... A story of a family, of ambition, of greed, of betrayal, of love and of succession...Takht is about war of love."
In an interview, Janhvi said, "I don't believe I'm a celebrity. I guess by default, people think I'm worthy of all this attention. It's all a fluke. That's my fear. I've never had to see so much of myself, talk so much about myself. I was sick of myself during the promotions. I'd wake up in the morning, look at myself in the mirror and be like Chee yaar."
The 21-year-old actress added, "I know whatever attention I'm getting is because of mom and dad and the hype around Dhadak. I cannot take this seriously because it's not mine."
