Janhvi Kapoor is going to make her Bollywood debut with her movie Dhadak. Sadly, her mom Sridevi won’t be there to see the final cut. It was her who wanted to see Jahnvi make her big screen debut with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in the first place. She has the leading role in Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak. This movie is an official remake of the Marathi hit Sairat. Her debut will hit the screens on July 20th.
The demise of Sridevi obviously shook her to the core, but she showed professionalism by showing up to the set and burying herself in work. In an exclusive interview with India Today Television’s Sushant Mehta, Janhvi talked about her life without her mother for the first time.
"It hasn’t been an easy experience. My work and my family have given me the strength to go on. If it wasn’t for coming back to the sets of Dhadak or being able to act, I think it would have been much tougher than what it is now. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work in the film and act. It saved me in many ways," Janhvi said.
