The trailer of B-Town’s Diva, Deepika Padukone’s much-awaited film, Chhaapaak is all set to release on 10th December 2019.
Ever since this movie has been announced is doing the rounds and, it has created a curiousness among the fans. The film is based on the acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal and about her life that what challenges she faced after going through this heart-wrenching incidence.
The surprising part is, the movie’s trailer is coincidentally releasing on the Humans Right Day which is quite relatable to the plot of the film. Chhaapaak will also feature actor Vikrant Massey opposite Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Vikrant's character in the film is based on real-life activist Alok Dixit, who is currently also Laxmi's life partner whereas Deepika will be playing the character of Laxmi.
In an interview, director Meghna Gulzar stated "It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. I really couldn't have asked for better synchronicity for the release date of our film."
The director also revealed that doing this film was really challenging for the actors and the crew. Going deep into the life of Laxmi was heartbreaking but she felt satisfied and proud after the shooting got over and, now the entire world will know her story.
Chhapaak will hit the theatres on January 10, 2020, alongside Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
