This will be the second time when Akshay and Bhumi collaborated after their film, Toilet.
'Durgavati' is the official Hindi adaptation of the Anushka Shetty-starrer 2018 Telugu horror film 'Bhaagamathie'. The film will revolve around a woman imprisoned in a haunted house while being interrogated in a corruption case involving a politician. The makers are currently working on Bhumi’s look in the film which is quite challenging.
Apart from this, Bhumi will also be seen in another horror film, the Karan Johar-produced 'Bhoot: Part One in 2020. She is also a part of KJo’s upcoming multi-starrer 'Takht' alongside Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Jahnvi Kapoor. It seems like 2020 is a lucky year for Bhumi!
