Directed by Suraj Barjatya the movie was a blockbuster, narrating the story of two individuals Prem and Suman (Bhagyashree) who fall in love to the resentment of latter’s father. Being persistent with his pursuit Prem receives a chance from Suman’s father to prove his worth.

Hum apke hai kaun

Starring Salman Khan (Prem) and Madhuri Dixit (Nisha), the movie tells you how the couple sacrifice their relationship when Prem’s brother loses his wife and the family pressurizes Nisha to marry Prem’s brother to look after the baby.


A major hit of the time directed by David Dhawan puts Salman opposite Karishma Kapoor and Rambha. Bhai portrays two characters Raja and Prem, twin brothers who get separated at birth. During this plot, a hilarious riot of confusion ensues which will leave you entertained.

Hum dil de chuke sanam

The controversial pair of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan comes together to tell a story of love across countries. This is not all, the film was a major hit directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This was one of the movies which marked a turning point in his career.

Here, Salman and Shah Rukh come together to tell you about two brothers unaware of each other’s existence are united by destiny to avenge their mother from their uncle who killed their father. The movie was a hit with its dialogue being used even today.


The infamous cop Chulbul Pandey, played by Salman is a corrupt fellow who later strives to fight for justice. His character became so iconic that social media was flooded with selfies of goggles work behind the neck. The franchise also released sequels- Dabangg 2 and Dabangg 3 which were hugely successful as well.


Directed by Siddique the movie puts Salman Khan opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. Khan plays Lovely Singh who is appointed to guard Divya ( Kareena’s character) who is daughter of a politician and is surrounded by danger. The movie and its songs were a hit with all audiences.


This hugely popular project has been directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and stars Jacqueline Fernandes, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles. Khan plays Devi Lal Singh, an honest thief goingby name of ‘Devil’ who distributes the proceeds of his loot to the needy. What ensues is a cop-thief chase which ends on an entirely different note.

The family drama crafted by Suraj Barjatya was a hit at the box office. Salman plays Prem who comes from a broken family and the film essays his journey to having it back. This is the latest movie where his character has been named Prem.

The movie is a Kabir Khan directorial featuring Khan and Katrina Kaif as the leads. The pair plays spies from India and Pakistan on the run from their respective governments. The movie was an action-packed thriller set in varied locations with some amazing stunts.

Tiger Zinda Hai

The sequel to Ek tha tiger released as Tiger Zinda Hai released in 2017, was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and was a commercial success. The story was said to be less impactful than its prequel but did get people to cinema halls.


Portraying family discord and drama this movie didn’t perform well at the box office and invited mixed responses from the critics.  However, its premise did gain appreciation from a few movie critics.


In this humor-filled ride you see Salman as a love guru who tries to help himself and his friend Bhaskar (Govinda) win in love. The movie was praised by critics and audiences, making it a hit. It was one of the four movies of the time to make a billion bucks.


This latest release of Salman Khan followed a similar trajectory like Race3 as it did bring in money but not the ratings. It is based on Korean movie ‘An Ode to my father’ (2014). It tells the story of a family drawn apart by partition and Bharat’s (Khan) struggle to bring them together. This was Salman and Katrina’s sixth film together.
