In the world of web-series and web-streaming platforms taking over TV, giants like Amazon Prime and Netflix have been coming up with numerous series to keep fan entertained. Amazon Prime last year started a comic-reality series called Comicstaan which aimed to highlight the budding standup comics in India. An instant hit, Comicstaan witnessed standup comics like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Tanmay Bhat, Kaneez Surk and Abish Mathews being the judge of the show, which was honestly a laughing riot.

The season one of Comicstaan ended with Nishant Suri being the winner of the show, Amazon Prime recently released the teaser for the much awaited Comicstaan Season 2.
Social media recently witnessed the trending hashtag “aa raha hai” and many wondered what it meant. It was cleared after the teaser of season 2 of Comicstaan was released. In the teaser of season 2, Biswa can be seen aboard a flight which is hit by turbulence. Amidst the chaos, a mic drops in front of Biswa and he takes the stage with his usual best.

The season 2 of Comicstaan is expected to follow the same trend with each judge bringing his/her own taste of comedy to the stage. However, one thing which excited the fans most was the presence of Zakir Khan as a judge. He is set to replace Tanmay Bhat, who got into #metoo controversy last year. The presence of Zakir Khan would be a big boost to the show, as Amazon Prime gears up to hit the laptop screens with its comic reality show. The show will feature 8 episodes, with seven judges using each episode to exhibit their skills and contesting gearing up to face the challenge of the particular judge.
The exact date of release is not known yet but fans are eagerly waiting for the show to air.
