According to some reports Steve Smith, former tainted Australian Cricketer has been rumored to make a return in the world of cricket for the T-20 Tournament in Toronto. He might make a comeback as early as the next month! The report on cricket.com.au stated that Steve Smith might be featuring in the Global T20 Canada tournament which would played from June 28 to July 16. This time, there will be plenty of room for the foreigners as at least 4 Canadian members would be present in each team or squad. This can be a good time for Smith to make his move after being banned from the Australian Cricket Team for a whole year, after being found guilty for ball tampering during a game in South Africa. Caribbean All-Stars, Montreal Tigers, Winnipeg Hawks Ottawa Royals, Vancouver Knights and Toronto Nationals are the six teams which will be playing in the Tournament this year. These teams were sanctioned by the International Cricket Council earlier this year. Steve Smith has played over 155 T20s with a strike rate of 125.36, runs over 3000 runs that too on an average of 30.3 in his kitty. Needless to say, Smith is still the best and number one batsman in the Test Format. He could have participated in the T20 Indian Premiere League as a member of Rajasthan Royals. However, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has imposed some sanction on three Australian Cricket team members, Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft. Due to this, he missed out his chance of participating in IPL this year. No matter what, it can be a great welcome for Steve Smith. Being a great player he can certainly win over his fans again. After all its all in the past now!
