Munmun Dutta shares her gut wrenching #MeToo story

It seems as if there is no end to the stories celebrities as well as the women across the nation have to share in the wake of the #MeToo campaign. As the voices continue to pitch high, these stores have been coming out of every nook and corners of the Bollywood in order to stand against those who need to be punished for their unspeakable deeds. On one hand the #MeToo movement uplifts and motivates women to call out their abuser, on the other hand it helps creating an environment of awareness and alertness.

So far we have been able to hear stories from Bollywood only, while the television actors had no input. But this soon changed as in the wake of the #MeToo campaign, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Munmun Dutta, who is playing Babitaji in the show broke her silenceand shares her gut wrenching story of the past sexual misbehaviours.

The actress narrated, “Writing something like this brings me to tears reliving those memories as a little girl when I was scared of the neighbourhood uncle and his prying eyes who at any given opportunity would grope me and threaten me not to speak about this to anyone ..... OR my much older cousins who would eye me differently than their own daughters .... OR the man who saw me at the hospital when I was born and 13 years later he thought it's appropriate for him to touch my body because I was a growing teenager and my body had changed.... OR my tuition teacher who had his hands in my underpants ....... OR this another teacher , whom I tied Rakhi to, would scold the female students in the class by pulling their bra straps and slapping on their breasts .... . OR that man in the train station who gropes U ...” on her social media.
