Chetan Bhagat on #MeToo, reveals Ira Trivedi's 'miss u kiss u' email

Recently, Ira Trivedi shared a story relating to #MeToo movement. She shared that Chetan Bhagat tried to kiss her without her consent. Chetan Bhagat defended hismelf by sharing an email from the woman which read, “miss u kiss u”.

Ira dictated a decade old story accusing Chetan Bhagat of kissing her forcefully. She also said that he continued his alleged sexual behaviour for a very long time. But now, Chetan Bhagat revealed an E-mail from 2013, where Ira has signed off by saying “miss u kiss u”. The popular writer captioned the post, “so who wanted to kiss whom?”
He tweeted, “So who wanted to kiss whom? @iratrivedi's self-explanatory email from 2013 to me, esp last line, easily shows her claims from 2010 are false, and she knows this too. This mental harassment of me and my family has to stop. Please don't harm a movement with #fakecharges #harassed [sic]”

Chetan Bhagat has also talked about mental harassments he and his family members have to go through because of “baseless” allegations on twitter. He further stated that #MeToo is not about blindly supporting a gender but it is about stating the truth.
He tweeted, “A person's reputation is their most prized asset and takes a lifetime of work to earn. To have these motivated, fake attacks on me is abhorrent and the sickest thing a person can do. Please don't support this kind of smear campaign.”

His another tweet read, “To those who abused me last few days, hope you will do right by me now. Ultimately, is this movement about the truth or blindly supporting a particular gender? Please don't let your biases make you believe things that are not true.”

Meanwhile, Ira said that this Email was shared out of context while talking to CNN News 18. She does not even want to take any legal action.
