Cardi B recently got into a nasty feud with Azealia Banks on social media. Cardi B, who rose to popularity after her hit “Bodak Yellow”. Azealia called Cardi an “illiterate, untalented rat" and ''caricature of a black woman'' during an interview with 'The Breakfast Club'. She called her a “Poor man's Nicki Minaj”.
To retaliate, Cardi posted a video of Azealia dancing to her voice in a club. She said that "The difference between you and me is that I've never pretended to be something I am not! I've made it to where I am for being myself and staying true to that,". Before deleting her instagram, she wrote "I'm from the hood. I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people choose me! People followed me on Instagram and the people gave me a platform to introduce my talent.
"I never asked to be a example or a role model I don't want to change my ways because I'm famous that's why I just mind my business. This is coming from a woman that bleached her skin but want to advocate. GOODBYE. Im not apologising or kill myself because of who I am."
Cardi B didn't want to take on any more drama and ended up deleting her social media. Cardi B became gained popularity through social media, so it was a huge surprise for her fans when they found out that their favourite rapper had deleted her account. Cardi B also made her twitter private.
Cardi B has been on the rise since her debut track “Bodak Yellow”. She has publicly been dating the rapper 'Offset' and got engaged on October 27th. On April 7th, 2019 she announced that she is pregnant with Offset's child and drove her fans wild with happiness.
