Actor Gwyneth Paltrow claims that Hollywood Producer Harvey Weinstein wanted to “keep the actor on the side” after making her feel uncomfortable as he was “scared” of the actor Brad Pitt.
metro.co.uk reports that she even said that she does not know what would have happened during those times, if her former boyfriend, Brad Pitt wouldn't have saved her from Harvey's predatory behavior. Marie Claire UK was told that the Oscar-winning actress believed that Harvey was “scared” of Pitt. She unfolded that in 1995, Brad Pitt threatened the disgraced producer when he got to know that he had tried to lure her to a hotel room and asked her to massage him.
She said, “I am so grateful to Pitt. Because he leveraged his power and fame to protect me - when I was no one - and he scared Harvey. And if it hadn't been for him, I don't know if I'd have gotten fired, or what. But instead, Weinstein was like, 'Okay, let's put it behind us. I think he wanted to keep Brad on side.”
Gwyneth even recalled that in May, Brad Pitt confronted Harvey about making unwanted sexual advances towards her during the signing up of the movie Emma and Shakespeare in Love. At that opening night of Hamlet on Broadway, Weinstein was pulled aside by Pitt after Paltrow shared the encounter with him.
She said, “He told me exactly what he said (to Harvey). He said, 'If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I'll kill you'.”
During the 1990s and 2000s, the actor worked extensively with Weinstein in films like Shakespeare In Love, Bounce, and Emma.
