Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna Get Served!

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have been served a legal notice as they put up Rustom's uniform up for auction. Akshay Kumar was the protagonist of the movie Rustom and can be seen adorning the uniform. When Akshay Kumar tweeted that he would be auctioning off the navy uniform, a certain portion of his audience had an issue. A few people are of the belief that as no uniform has been auctioned before, it shouldn't be done now either as it played with the sentiments of the soldiers serving in the forces as well as of the wives of the fallen men.
The notice demands Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna to cancel the auction. If they fail to do so, strict action will be taken against them under the provisions that are relevant of the Indian Penal Code. Akshay Kumar has refused to succumb to the pressure being put on him as whatever money that he raises from the auction will be donated for the cause of animal rescue and welfare. Also, the uniform doesn't belong to an actual naval officer. It is a piece of film memorabilia and there is no harm in auctioning a piece of film merchandise especially if it is for a good cause.
Akshay's decision was met with quite a backlash and one man even said that he would break his wife aka Twinkle Khanna's nose for auctioning off the uniform.
Twinkle Khanna decided to respond to the troll by taking legal action. She wrote “ She wrote, “As a society do we really think it’s all right to threaten a woman with bodily harm for trying to raise funds for a charity by auctioning a uniform used in a movie, a piece of film memorabilia? I will not retaliate with violent threats but by taking legal action! #JaiHind.”
The auction is still up at the website with the current bit at a staggering 2,35,000!
