Honor 7A Review - Dual Camera Budget Phone

Honor 7A comes in a plastic body with a 5.7-inch bezel-less display. The phone uses Type 2.0 USB port for charging and a 3.5 mm headset jack for music. Running on Android 8.0 Oreo, Honor 7A is priced at Rs 8,999. For our joy, Honor 7A offers double back cameras, Face Unlock, and full view display. The stands against Redmi 5 in India. Let's check how phone performed in the tests.

Honor 7A Design
Honor 7A has an agreeable design and feels very light. With a plastic back, supported with metal edges, the phone looks premium.

Honor 7A Display
Honor 7A has a Full View display with thin bezels. The viewing angles are good with clear videos but taking outside seems the colours washed away a bit. The 18:9 aspect ratio adds to the style and viewing attributes.

Honor 7A Processor performance
Honor 7A is fueled by the Snapdragon 425 processor, unlike all other Honor phones that come with home-developed Kirin processors. You will face few issues with execution, like application crashing, lagging with numerous tabs opened, and delay in opening applications.

Honor 7A can't deal with high graphics games such as Asphalt-8 and warms up quickly during heavy app usages such as camera, gaming and extensive usage. The face recognition feature is not good enough in low light conditions.

Honor 7A Camera quality
Honor 7A comes with dual back cameras at Rs 9,000 price slab which is not very common. It incorporates a 13MP primary camera sensor + 2MP depth sensor. It empowers wide capturing angles and bokeh impact in photographs. The back camera does a good job in general and struggles a bit with a focus in low light photos yet it is acceptable considering the budget.

The front camera is also not disappointing with colour reproduction and element details in photographs were adequate.

Honor 7A Battery life
The Honor 7A 3000 mAh battery is capable to endure the whole day on moderate usage such as watching videos, streaming music, clicking photographs, and so forth.

Whether to Buy Honor 7A or Not?
Honor 7A is in accordance with most other phones available in the market but with the dual back camera feature, it has a plus point. The design, display and first contact with the phone is a good impression. What can’t be ignored is the dull performance in daily life tasks execution and Redmi 5 gains advantage over there.
