It is true that the movie Parmanu survived the initial slot. It was earlier disrupted by the onset of ongoing Indian Premiere League Semi Finals as it always maintains momentum in the following days as well.
Parmanu might experience a dip in the collection as it has to compete with the new movies like 'Veere Di Wedding' and 'Bhavesh Joshi Superhero'.
Saibal Chatterjee from NDTV said, “The Parmanu script, which unabashedly attributes the success of India's nuclear programme to one prime minister and his chief scientific adviser, serves a deliberate, blatantly lopsided, please-the-current-powers-that-be purpose. It suggests that nobody in India had ever thought of tapping nuclear power as a means to ensuring both security and peace for the nation.”
Parmanu started of with a slow start of Rs. 4.82 crore, but had a spike during the weekend. John Abraham's film is mainly based on the covert nuclear operation that it undertook in 1998 in Rajasthan's Pokhran. It even stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani while being directed by Abhishek Sharma.
