Article 15 featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and directed by Anubhav Sinha has crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the box-office collection.
Article 15 on its day 13 crossed Rs 50 crore mark on the box-office. The total box office collection of Article 15 after day 13 stands at Rs 50.83, with the movie earning Rs 1.38 crore on its 13th day. The movie is a box-office success if we consider the fact that the movie was made with a budget of Rs 25 crore. The break-even amount is Rs 25.83 crore and the movie has yielded 103.32% profit.
It is the 8th most successful film of the year and is expected to cross Kesari 104% profit. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie takes a stand against caste-based discrimination, which is prohibited by Article 15 of the Indian constitution. The movie features Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role of an upper-caste Police Officer. The movie is said to be based on a real incident in UP and although the movie takes some creative liberty, critics and audience have applauded the movie.
