Last year, Arjun Kapoor had said in an interview that he didn't share a close bond with his half sisters Janhvi and Khushi. But that changed after Sridevi's untimely demise. It has definitely been a tough time for the entire family. Boney, Janhvi and Khushi have been having a miserable time, but Arjun and his sister Anshula have been there with them; supporting them like pillars. Arjun has definitely been the doting brother when it comes to protecting his sisters. There has definitely been a huge improvement in their relationship. Talking about this with a leading daily, he said "It's difficult for me to give a one-off reply, or in a 'by the way' manner. I actually need a lot of time to process what has happened. But I just did what I felt impulsively at that point. Between me and my sister (Anshula), we felt that it was the right thing to do."
Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever @janhvikapoor cause your trailer comes out... Firstly, sorry I’m not there in mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry. I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow ur own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know your are ready for all the madness that will ensue. All the best for #dhadak! I’m certain my friends @shashankkhaitan & @karanjohar have presented you & @ishaan95 as the modern Romeo & Juliet with elan !!!
Arjun has often stood up for his sisters to protect them from negativity on social media. Talking about this, he said "I'm a really emotional person, so my emotions do come out [especially on social media]. So, you can say that my protective side comes around in those moments."
"Too much has happened and I wouldn't wish these things even on my worst enemies. I've experienced it first-hand, so if I encompass everything in one answer, it would make the matter very small," he quipped. He added, "As somebody who has always been extremely close to his father, I want Janhvi and Khushi to be absolutely okay as much as I would want Anshula to be fine. But the things that have led us to these circumstances are extremely tragic; that's why I need some more time to figure out what life holds [for us]."
