Taapsee Pannu is all set to play the role of cricketer Mithali Raj in her next

It seems like Bollywood is coming with mind-blowing biopics this year, already Ranveer Singh’s film 83 based on Indian cricketer Kapil Dev is doing the rounds and, now the bold actress, Taapsee Pannu is too ready to portray the life of women’s cricket team.

The beautiful Diva is all set to play the role of Indian women's cricket team captain, Mithali Raj, in her biopic. Recently, on the occasion of Mithali’s birthday, the actress took to her Instagram and revealed she will be donning the Indian cricket team jersey in the movie.

She posted a picture of Mithali while cutting the cake and, captioned it as "Happy Happy Birthday Captain @mithaliraj ! You have made all of us proud in more than many ways and it’s truly an honour to be chosen to showcase your journey on screen," she wrote. "P.S- I am all prepared to learn THE ‘cover drive'". "On this Birthday of yours, I don’t know what gift I can give you but this promise that I shall give it all I have to make sure you will be proud of what you see of yourself on screen with #ShabaashMithu,".

Taapsee also revealed in an interview that she feels honored to be a part of this film and, would put in all the efforts to play this strong character. Although this is not for the first time that Taapsee will be seen in a sports-based film earlier too, she impressed everyone with her role as a female shooter in Saand Ki Aankh and a hockey player in Soorma.
