After being a part of the fourth installment of the comedy franchise Housefull, actress Pooja Hedge opened up about finding ensemble comedy both “great fun” and “quite difficult”. The actress also talked about her upcoming bilingual film opposite 'Baahubali' star Prabhas.
Pooja also mentioned enjoying this phase in her professional life which is 'full of comedy and romance'. While Pooja Hedge has been an integral part of the South cinema, she made her Bollywood debut with 2016 hit Mohenjo-Daro, opposite Hrithik Roshan. Talking about Houseful, Pooja said, “I always wanted my second film to be bigger, and on the same scale as my debut. And it has been a ride. It’s daily fun on the sets of Housefull. Akshay [Kumar] sir, Riteish [Deshmukh] and Sajid [Khan, the director] are a total madhouse. The energy and fun that we have translated into the film, and that’s what the audiences also enjoy.”
The actress added that she was initially a bit nervous as it was her first attempt in the genre of comedy. “It’s a very difficult one since you have to have the comic timing [right]. Akshay sir and Riteish are amazing since they are veterans in this [genre] — it’s the fourth Housefull. You have to match up to their energy levels. Making someone laugh in general is difficult, and I’m taking it as a challenge,” Pooja quipped.
Talking about her upcoming film with Prabhas, Pooja said, “It’s going to be an interesting period romantic drama, a love story. I’m happy with the way my career is shaping up, but I want more.”
